A little background on Bernadette and Lawrence
Lawrence and Bernadette are longtime peace and justice activists starting with the Civil Rights and Anti (Vietnam) War movements of the ‘60s. They are longtime members of the Brandywine Peace Community and, for the last 25 years, Bernadette has been supported by Lawrence in the many acts of Civil Diso-bedience she has participated in at Lockheed Martin (formerly GE). Lawrence was in the first groups of Witness for Peace that went to Nicaragua during the Contra Wars. Bernadette spent a week in a Federal Detention Center for protesting the start of the war in Iraq.
Because of our long time resistance to “Empire”, we were anxious to join a delegation from Global Exchange to spend time in Venezuela to see firsthand the benefits of an evolving socialist society.

Please join us for this evening to learn more about the time that Bernadette and Lawrence spent in Venezuela.
