I get on a Johnny Maestro kick every so often, but it’s late now! Maybe tomorrow I’ll post more of my favorites from his career. Another great talent gone too soon. I’m very happy that I got to see him perform several times in recent years — what a voice! Non-pareil! 🙂

Interesting dynamic… You lived up here all your life and yet you rented a car to drive as you wanted to get back to Ashville…Hm…. maybe a good newsletter discussion on how the feeling of “home” motivates you to get to different parts of the country.

This reminds me of a quote I once read from the wife of a football coach . . . she had moved around a lot, but when asked to name her favorite place, she replied, “Where I am now.”

Rough Workout? North Carolina Gym Adds ‘Air Napping’ Class to Exercise Routine – TIME NewsFeed

If you snooze, you lose. Could this be the newest adage in the workout world? We doubt it, but a nap does sound like a stellar idea after a grueling gym workout. And one North Carolina health club is taking that idea to the bank.

Joe in North Carolina:

Janet in Pennsylvania:

A good tip for you on phones… T-Mobil, as a plan $30 a month for 1500 pre-paid minutes. I gave my cell phone to my boyfriend, we cut our land line down to basic, and he has unlimited calling for his Business Development for about $70 a month, and I have the $30 a month plan which is plenty of minutes pre paid, and you also get 30 MB of web. We got Comcast for internet instead of DSL… all seems to be working OK. I think we are saving about $50 a month in phones all in all.

Using the same technology as Google Earth to track you, be warned it will be most difficult to lose yourself in any crowd.

This is the crowd before the riots in Vancouver:

Put your cursor anywhere in the crowd and double-click a couple of times.

To further help with image, use the scroll button in the center of your mouse.

Zero in on any one specific single face.. The clarity is incredible..

You can see perfectly the faces of every single individual – and there were thousands.

Just think what the police and the military have at their disposal.
