Lower Bucks CFPA Quarterly Potluck Supper
United Christian Church 8525 New Falls Road, Levittown PA

Ward Wilson will be speaking about the arsenal of nuclear weapons that the U.S. keeps on high alert and how much it costs to maintain them. We will also have a discussion about H.R. 3974 The Smarter Approach to Nuclear Expenditures (SANE) and our efforts to get Congressman Fitzpatrick to cosponsor this bill.

Wilson is a prize-winning scholar who has spoken widely, including at: the House of Commons in Great Britain, Princeton University, Stanford University, the United Nations, the Naval War College, the University of Chicago, Georgetown University, the Norwegian Defense Studies Institute, Los Alamos, the Institute for Security Studies in South Africa, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Aberystwyth University in Wales, Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Stimson Center, the
Geneva Centre for Security Policy, as well as others.

Given the extent to which we rely on nuclear weapons to preserve the peace, these new findings raise troubling questions.

“Wilson . . . is well on his way to deconstructing the most fundamental beliefs
about nuclear weapons.”
— Stephen Schwartz, editor, Nonproliferation Review

Princeton Barnes & Noble,

Wednesday, May 2 at 5:00 pm

‘My Most ‘Martha’ Mother’s Day Memory’ contest featured only at Princeton signing event

Princeton, NJ – Celebrity and author of dozens of bestselling books on cooking, entertaining, gardening, weddings, and decorating, Martha Stewart, will sign her latest cookbook, Martha’s American Food: A Celebration of our Nation’s Most Treasured Dishes, from Coast to Coast, on Wednesday, May 2 at 5:00 pm at the Barnes & Noble, 3535 US Route 1 South in the MarketFair Mall, Princeton, NJ.  Line pass distribution begins at 1pm with line formation following, at that time.

“We are delighted to bring Martha Stewart to the Princeton area with her cookbook filled with classic American recipes and comfort foods – it’s this year’s perfect Mother’s Day gift,” Community Relations Manager Debra Lampert-Rudman said.  “To celebrate, we’re holding a ‘My Most ‘Martha’ Mother’s Day Memory’ contest. Our winner receives a free autographed copy of Martha’s American Food and first place in line for Martha’s signing on May 2.  To enter, simply send a .jpeg image, reduced for email, and 25 words or less to crm2646@bn.com by April 25. Winner selected by Princeton Barnes & Noble and notified by April 30. The .jpeg images will not be returned and may be used for promotion. Please be sure to have permission of anyone depicted in the photo for its use.”

From the woman who is credited with creating what we all think of as the classic American lifestyle, Martha’s American Food presents the kinds of food all Americans love to eat: shrimp, barbecue, steak, pie, salads galore – in true Martha style, with twists that make them just a little more fresh, modern, and interesting.

In this definitive collection of classic American favorite recipes, Martha Stewart celebrates America and its diversity of food with 190 recipes  representing the very best of the country’s flavors. Organized geographically and with her trademark beautiful photography that brings the food – and the people and places with which we identify them – to life, Martha’s American Food showcases Martha’s recipes for regional specialties with drinks, appetizers, soups and salads, main dishes, sides, and desserts.

Favorites include New England Clam Chowder, Chicken Potpies, and Shrimp and Grits; sides like Indiana Succotash and Fried Green Tomatoes; alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages – from the Sazerac and Manhattans to Sour-Cherry Lemonade and Sweet Tea – and Mile-High Apple Pie, Blueberry Crisp, Coconut Cake, and Whoopie Pies for dessert. Together, these recipes reflect the unique character of each part of the country while also celebrating the deliciousness (and comfort) of American food.

Customers must purchase a copy of Martha’s American Food to receive a line pass the day of the event. A line pass, book, and receipt are required to be on the signing line.  Full details are available either at Princeton Barnes & Noble Customer Service or by emailing crm2646@bn.com
