(2) Mars Hill Open House
Saturday, June 2, 2012
11:00pm until 2:00am

The Mars Hill Merchants Coalition is organizing a “Mars Hill Open House” day to be held on June 2, 2012, to kick of the Mars Hill “Think Local First” campaign. The campaign will be an ongoing effort to remind citizens that Mars Hill has a lot to offer.

The goal of this campaign is to get everyone, before going somewhere else for goods and services, to just stop a minute and ask: “Can I get it in Mars Hill?”

If you’re a business owner, we hope that your business will do something special on that day, to make it festive. Examples might be a sidewalk sale, balloons for kids, free coffee and cookies, face-painting, a free seminar on a subject that you’re an expert in, a free workshop, etc.

If you’re not a business owner, we hope that you will set this day aside to enjoy a fun day in Mars Hill, discover some new things about your community, and support your local professionals, merchants, tradesmen, retailers, shopkeepers, farmers, artists, musicians, and non-profits here in Mars Hill. When you support them, you are supporting the people who provide the jobs, support our schools, and sponsor teams and events.

Watch for more information over the coming weeks. If you have questions, please contact Billie Lyons-Super at (829) 319-5372 or e-mail:
