(1) Mike M. in NC on MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Flat Rock Playhouse

Rock and roll is alive and well at Flat Rock Playhouse. Based on actual events. Million Dollar Quartet is the true story of the night of Dec 4th, 1956 when Elivs Pressley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis came together at a recording session at Sun Records run by a photographer named Sam Phillips. Flat Rocks production is directed by James Moye who play Sam Phillips in the original and off Broadway productions. His direction and this great jukebox musical literally had people dancing in the asile during the 4 encore numbers aty the end of the show. Just look at the great musical numbers in the picture below.

If you are in the Asheville/Hendersonville area this is not a show to be missed. The show runs through May 21.

To all the other local theaters in the rea take note, this show would be a big money maker for you so consdier it. I know Center Stage in Greenville is doing in their 2016-17 season.

Note: Based on Mike’s recommendation, I saw this show. And loved it. You will, too!
